Welcome!
I live in La Louvière near Mons.
If you want I can invite you next time I brew but I don't know when it'll be :)

Sounds good! I would definitely come help out. I just bought a house in Baudor and i upgraded my setup to a rims system (i havent brewed on it yet :snif: ). I have to add a 40 amp differntial to my eletrical box so I have not been able to brew in the new house yet. So i have to find someone who is good with electricty to add the differentiel.
Wouldn t it be easier to brew with gas for energy?
This is what i need to install at my house and i will have my brewery back up ImageImage

Bonjour et bienvenue chez nous Image
For your breaker? Why didn't you install it in your control box? I do it like that. And it's more secure for me. In any brewing place, you are protected.

Why not but I think the problem here is the needed Power for the 5.5kW heating element.
To use it you need a breaker of 5500/230 = ±25A or more.
So if you put your breaker into a cabinet that you plug into a socket protected by a 20A breaker, it will be useless. Moreover, your installation can burn.
Also don't forget to use 4mm² cable minimum, 6mm² should be better to avoid cable warwing.

It's not a breaker (that will switch off if the need of electricity is over the limit) but a "différentiel" which switch off when there is a loss of 30mA on the alimentation.
Thus, the différentiel will work. But I'm not an electrician
And put it near the installation. In the control box is better for me.

So i am running a separate box in the garage with the breaker. The gray and black wires should be brown and blue but had extra cables. So i will run main wires from my main circuit breaker to the garage next.ImageImageImageImageImage
