Is it possible to buy a CO2 tank locally, and have it refilled?

Currently I am "renting" a large bottle from Air Liquide for €99 per year. I would rather not pay an annual fee, if I can just purchase a bottle, and own it.

I don't think you can buy one,
but definitly not a good thing to rent it.

Most of the drinks (beverage retail) can purpose you a 10kg bottle with a caution of +/- 100€, and a refill for +/- 20€

By "caution" Germain meant a "deposit"

For anyone in the Mons / Ath / Chievres area, there is a place called Drink Vantyghem, in Silly. Here is the message from the owner...

"Moi c’est soit une grande bouteille de co2 à 24€ et la vidange est de 14,87 ( achat une fois puis elle est à toi et après échange ... ) ou la petite même chose vidange 65€ et 15€ d’achat de co2

Ne t’étonne pas si la petite bonbonne coûte plus cher que la grande c’est comme ça c’est pas moi qui fait le prix.

Mais ici la bonbonne t’appartient et quand tu la remettras tu récupères ta caution !"

So if any homebrewers need a bottle that can be exchanged, for only the cost of CO2, this is the place!

That seems weird 38€ for a full bottle since 120€ is the most common price at other drinks !

Yep, confirmed €38...it's a tall and slim bottle, but the price is great.
